Comprehensive Care to Keep Pets Healthy

From routine wellness exams and routine lab work to vaccinations and microchipping, there are several things you can do to keep disease at bay and help your dog or cat live a healthy life. We provide comprehensive wellness care for pets in Spring, Tomball, and the greater Houston area, and our veterinarian would be thrilled to have your furry family member as a patient!

Wellness Exams

A veterinarian weighs your pet during a wellness exam, checks their vital signs, and carefully examines them from snout to tail. They also palpate your pet’s abdomen, feel their joints, and perform other tasks to look for signs of illness or injury. During your pet’s annual wellness exam, we may recommend routine lab work to establish baseline values and look for early warning signs of problems. Just like kids, dogs need time to rest and recharge between play sessions. That’s why we give each daycare guest their own accommodation where they can take a break from the action and relax. We also serve our homemade gourmet treats during afternoon breaks, and you’re welcome to pack a lunch if your pup has a big appetite. From doggie birthday “pawties” to seasonal festivities, there’s always something fun happening in our daycare!

Vaccinations

Keeping your pet up-to-date on vaccinations is a crucial component of wellness care. While the Rabies vaccine is the only one required by law, several others are equally important. We develop vaccine schedules based on the unique needs of our patients and the diseases they are most likely to encounter. In doing so, we can administer the core and lifestyle vaccines they need without over-vaccinating them against things that pose little to no risk to their health.

Microchipping

Pets are lost or stolen every day. Having your furry friend microchipped is the best way to increase your chances of seeing them again if they ever disappear. Microchipping takes just a few seconds and doesn’t require surgery or anesthesia. There’s no need for downtime following the procedure, either. At Best Care Animal Hospital, we strongly recommend microchipping for most of our patients as a part of wellness care.

Preventative Medicine Plans

We offer Preventative Medicine Plans to make staying on top of your pet’s wellness care needs easy and convenient. These plans include yearly vaccines, heartworm testing, and fecal testing. They also include wellness exams and any sick exams your pet may need throughout the year. As a member, your pet will receive discounts on diagnostics, medication, surgery, and grooming, too. We have PMPs for puppies, kittens, adult dogs and cats, and senior pets.
